Originally formed in Concord CA back in 1990 by Ed Stief (lead vocals/guitar) Jim Montgomery (lead vocals/guitar) and Jim “Cat” Catherman (lead vocals/bass) while working together and discovering a shared love for rock and blues and the desire to play for other people. They established themselves as one of the go-to bands of the Contra Costa Co. area.

While the band has gone through a few lineup variations and the occasional hiatus, the official core lineup was finally set in 2015 with Ed’s son, Eric, joined them permanently on drums/vocals, and Jim M. taking on the duty of bass. Occasionally, Jim McGowan from sister band The Vinyl Countdown will join in or “Cat” will make a return so the band can play in full 4-piece capacity.

Audio Mynde is stronger and more determined more than ever to get people on their feet and dance!
